Hrithik Roshan, a Bollywood heartthrob, had nothing but praise for co-star Priyanka Chopra’s role in “Citadel,” a spy thriller that he recently reviewed. The two have acted together in several films before, including “Agneepath,” “Krrish,” and “Krrish 3,” and they’re known to be good friends who often support each other’s work on social media platforms. Hrithik Roshan has always been vocal about his appreciation for powerful performances, lending another such instance when he gave the “Citadel” star a shout-out on his social media for her outstanding work.

The series Citadel Series 1 had mixed receptions from both critics and fans, with some not exactly enthused. Despite the less-than-stellar reviews, makers have already greenlit a second season of the show, while Indian and Italian versions are also currently in production. Citadel stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Game of Thrones alum Richard Madden. Furthermore, an Indian adaptation of the series is also in progress, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In the show, Chopra Jonas plays a Citadel spy, and having her own spy universe puts her in the company of her friend and co-star Hrithik Roshan, who made waves with his portrayal of Kabir in War, part of YRF’s own spy universe.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is looking forward to filming the Bollywood movie Jee Le Zaraa, directed by Farhan Akhtar. The film will also star Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. Priyanka Chopra was last seen in the romantic comedy Love Again.
Citadel Series 1 revolves around a spy organization that’s teetering on the edge of oblivion, saved only by the efforts of its top-tier agents, Nadia (Priyanka) and Mason (Richard). The show is replete with high-octane action, intense drama, and sizzling romance.
Directed by Raj and DK, the Indian version of this multi-series production features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan in lead roles. Watch the show every Friday, with the finale premiering this May 26th.
