It is the meadows on the Bhrigu Lake trek that are a real treat. I am not sure you understand why trekking on them is such a big thing. More you trek better view you get. That’s the beauty of Bhrigu. The trek is an out and out grassland trek. Within ten minutes of starting out of the fabulous Gulaba base camp. Kalpa is a small town in the Sutlej river valley, above Recong Peo in the Kinnaur District. Huddled under a blanket, a drowsy opening of the eyes as the curtain is pulled back: and there stands the mighty Kinner Kailash mountain range in Himachal Pradesh.

Shoja is a Himalayan hamlet (8500 ft asl) 5 km short of Jalori Pass. 4. Rakcham
The place is situated in between Sangla and chitkul. The landscape here is a little different from what one might commonly see. The huge rocks and orange-red trees make for a pretty picture.
Hiking up to Rackcham from Sangla is another good option to enjoy this place to the fullest. Do not skip this pretty sight.
5. Thanedar
Thanedar is at about 80 km from Shimla on the old Hindustan – Tibet road. Set at an altitude of about 7700 ft / 2350 M, from here unfolds a magnificent panorama of mountains. The farthest of them are cloaked in snow, others are deodar clad or draped in a soft blue haze. In a gorge, some 6,000 feet below and clearly visible to the naked eye, flows the River Sutlej. Thanedar & its surroundings enjoy a special place in Himachal history. In 1916 Samuel Stokes, a social worker from Philadelphia brought the first apple saplings to this place he had adopted as his home.
One can still see the ‘Starking Delicious’ apple orchard that he planted there. Nestled amongst the acres of apple & cherry orchards that drape the mountain slopes in this region, is the Banjara Orchard Retreat – an eco-friendly getaway that will enchant nature lovers.
6. Chitkul
Chitkul is at a height of 3450 Meters. This is the last village of India to the side of the Tibet border and so this beautiful village is also by the side of the Baspa river. This village is located at a distance of 28 KM from Sangla. While traveling to Chitkul valley, the river Baspa will be on your right side. On the way, you will pass through Rakcham village.
